Monique Burr Foundation’s ‘Night in the Vineyard’ event benefits programs to safeguard youth

From The Ponte Vedra Recorder

The Monique Burr Foundation for Children will hold “A Night in the Vineyard” from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, at SoNapa Grille, located at 2400 3rd St. South in Jacksonville Beach.

The signature event will feature live entertainment, auctions, gourmet food, curated wine pairings and great company, all in support of the foundation’s mission to keep youth safe. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the foundation is dedicated to protecting children from all types of abuse, bullying, online exploitation and human trafficking through prevention education.

General admission tickets are $150 per person and must be purchased in advance at anightinthevineyard.com. Tickets include entry into the event, wine tastings, food, access to the live and silent auctions and live musical entertainment by Nashville recording artist Colleen Orender and singer-songwriter Paris Winningham, a finalist from NBC’s “The Voice.” Complimentary valet parking will be available for all guests. The number of tickets is limited.

All event proceeds will support the foundation’s prevention education programs — personal safety curriculum that educate and empower youth, and the adults in their lives, with strategies to recognize, prevent and respond to all forms of child abuse, bullying, exploitation and other types of child victimization.

The programs are comprehensive, evidence-based/trauma-informed and provide youth with universal strategies to keep them safe, including five easy-to-remember safety rules. The programs are proven to be effective, and they are trusted by schools and parents.

Since its inception, the foundation has reached more than 9 million children with its prevention education programs. This second annual “A Night in the Vineyard” fundraising event will enable the foundation to raise much-needed funds to reach more youth around the world and remove obstacles to safe communities.
